ACU signs Colorado standout

ABILENE ? ACU head volleyball coach Kellen Mock announced Monday that she has signed Colorado high school standout Kelsie Edwards to a binding national letter-of-intent for the 2008 season.

Edwards was a three-year letterwinner at Highlands Ranch High School, and she helped lead her team to a combined 42-15 record the last two seasons (2006, 2007). As a senior in 2007, she led Colorado with 579 digs after she put up a state-best 466 digs as a junior.

As a senior, Edwards led her team to a league championship with a 12-0 record, and she was a first team all-conference libero. Named the team MVP, Edwards played in the Colorado all-state volleyball game after her senior season.
