EDMOND – It took five sets for the first time this season, but the Abilene Christian Wildcats were able to take care of the Central Oklahoma Bronchos Thursday night in Edmond, Oklahoma. Paced by Jordan Schilling and a stellar fifth set where ACU recorded no errors and hit .722 for a 3-2 victory.

Schilling a junior recorded 23 kills as the Wildcats went into a fifth set for the first time this season. She was one of two Wildcats to record a double-double with Jennie Hutt as she had 23 kills and 19 digs and Hutt recorded 15 kills and 11 digs.  Schilling was very good at the net as she only recorded five errors and had a .419 attacking percentage.

ACU took the first set 25-21 as both teams' alternated sets with UCO taking the second and fourth 25-23, and 26-24. The Wildcats won the third set 25-14 and the decisive fifth set 15-10 for the victory.  The Wildcats are now 19-5 and 5-1 in the Lone Star Conference as the Bronchos fell to 11-12 and 3-4 in the LSC.

The Wildcats will look for their 20 win of the season on Saturday as they take on Southwestern Oklahoma State. A win would mark the first back-to-back 20 plus win seasons since the Wildcats won 28 games in 2004 and 31 in 2005.
