Wildcats set to Open 2009-10 season

ABILENE – The ACU women's basketball team will face six participants from last season's NCAA Tournament as a part of their 2009-10 schedule.
The Wildcats will open the season with two exhibition games against Lubbock Christian and WNIT participant and Conference USA member SMU. Included is home games against non-conference opponents from the tournament St. Mary's and Colorado State-Pueblo.
Also Heartland Conference Champion Incarnate Word visit Moody Coliseum for the last time as a non-conference opponent as they join the Lone Star Conference next season. The Wildcats and Cardinals will also meet on a neutral floor at St. Edward's University in Austin.
Lone Star Conference play is highlighted by North Division champion Central Oklahoma at home and tough road contest against Southeastern Oklahoma State. In the South Division the Wildcats will play rival and Elite Eight participant West Texas A&M on January 16 and in Canyon in the final regular season game on February 27.
The Lone Star Conference Post-Season Tournament will return to Bartlesville, Oklahoma for the third season March 4-7.
