ABILENE – Juniors Shawna Hines and Jordan Schilling both recorded double-figure kills as the Wildcats won their ninth game in a row Thursday night at Moody Coliseum. Schilling recorded her 11th double-double of the season as she added 17 digs.
The Wildcats swept Midwestern State 25-21, 25-19, and 25-17 as the win pushed in their record to 21-5 and 7-1 in the Lone Star Conference. The loss dropped MSU to 9-20 and 5-3 on the season.
ACU hit .233 and capitalized on 22 errors by MSU. Hines, the NCAA Division II leader in blocks brought her 1.54 blocks per set into the match as she was again tough at the net adding eight more blocks tonight against the Mustangs.
Junior setter Ijeoma Moronu was outstanding once again recording 38 assists. Moronu recorded her ninth double-double of the season as she added 14 digs for the Wildcats.
The Wildcats are 8-0 at home this season and will carry their 13 game winning streak at Moody Coliseum into Saturday's contest against Cameron. Tipoff is schedule for 2 p.m.
