
Baseball camps set for December

ABILENE -- The ACU baseball program will host two winter camps beginning just a few days before Christmas at the Bonneau Family Indoor Hitting Facility.
The first session of the ACU Wildcat School of Baseball will be Dec. 21-22 from 10 a.m.-noon each day and is for children ages 8-17. The second session will be Dec. 28-29 and will also be from 10 a.m.-noon each day. The cost of each session is $50.
ACU head coach Britt Bonneau, his coaching staff and selected players will also be instructing in the Monday Night Hitting League, which will begin Jan. 18 and extend each Monday night through Feb. 15. The hitting league is for ages 7-18 and is either $100 for the entire five-lesson session or $20 per night.
Hitters ages 7-12 will hit in the cages from 7-8 p.m., followed by hitters ages 13-18 from 8-9 p.m.
Bonneau is also offering private lessons and team clinics with the private lessons only going to those between second and eighth grades. The team clinics are for teams of all ages.
The private lessons are $40 per half-hour session and $70 for a full hour, while the team clinics are $100 per hour and $150 for a 90-minute session.
