ABILENE – ACU head tennis coach Hutton Jones announced Monday that he has added eight players to his program, six on the men's side and two on the women's side, for the 2009-10 season.

The six additions to the mens' steam are led by incoming freshman Hans Hach of Mexico, who could be the Wildcats' No. 1 player in 2009-10.  Other men's additions are Dennis Roy of Frisco, Tucker Mueck of Robinson, Josh Marshall of Vernon, Jon Kelley of Richardson, and Ian Lucio of Dallas.

On the women's side, Jones has added Madison Hudson of Abilene and Hannah Kelley of Richardson.  All eight additions to the teams are freshmen, and the Kelleys are twins who played at Pearce High School.

Hach is the No. 2-ranked player in Mexico 18s and is ranked in the top 250 in the world in ITF Juniors.  He also has several wins over top-50 juniors in the world on his resume.

Roy is a former top-10 Texas Junior and is a two-time Class 5A state finalist in doubles at Frisco High School.  Mueck is a Super Championship Junior player in Texas, and last spring was the Class 3A state runner-up in singles.  Marshall won the Class 3A state doubles championship last spring.

Kelley and his sister, Hannah, teamed to win the Class 5A mixed doubles state championship last spring.  Lucio is a two-time TAPPS state doubles runner-up.

On the women's side, Hudson is the sister of former Wildcat four-year letterman, Ryan Hudson.  She was a Class 5A doubles semifinalist for Abilene High last spring, and played No. 1 singles on a top-10 AHS team last spring.  She's in the top 25 in Texas 18s.  Besides winning a state championship with her brother, Kelley is in the top 25 in Texas 18s.
