ABILENE -- ACU senior forward
Jamie Meyer has been voted to a pair of NCAA Division II women's basketball teams after her outstanding 2009-10 season.
Meyer was voted a third team all-America on the Daktronics team, which is selected by the nation's sports information directors. She was named honorable mention all-America by the Women's Basketball Coaches' Association (WBCA).
Meyer, a senior from Round Rock, Texas, led the NCAA Division II South Central Region in scoring, finishing ninth in NCAA Division II women's basketball in scoring at 21.0 points per game. She was voted first team all-region by Daktronics earlier this month and was one of 40 players nationwide who were placed on the all-America ballot.
A two-time first team all-LSC South Division selection, Meyer was voted to the LSC Post-Season all-Tournament team earlier this month after she scored a tournament-record 44 points in ACU's 111-105 triple-overtime loss against Central Oklahoma.
Meyer is the first Wildcat to earn all-America honors since Melanie Carter was a WBCA and Division II Bulletin honorable mention selection in 2001-02, 2002-03 and 2003-04.
