ABILENE – ACU head volleyball coach Kellen Mock announced Thursday that she has hired
Jason Bibler as her new assistant coach, replacing Lindsey Campbell who resigned shortly after the birth of her baby.
Campbell was Mock's assistant coach from 2006-09, but decided to stay home with her first child rather than return to work after her maternity leave.
Mock filled Campbell's position with Bibler, who just completed two seasons as the graduate assistant coach at Angelo State.
"I played and coached with Lindsey for all but one year since 2001, so I'll miss that relationship," said Mock, who will be in her fifth season as the head coach in 2010. "She brought so much to our program, and we'll miss her insight. At the same time, we're excited to bring Jason on board and looking forward to him being part of our program."
Bibler joined the Angelo State coaching staff after three years as the head coach at Air Academy High School in Colorado Springs, Colo.
While at Air Academy, Bibler compiled a 32-31 record and his Kadets qualified for the post-season every year. Along with his duties at AAHS, he also spent four years as a head coach at Colorado Juniors Volleyball Club. His 18s club team qualified for the Junior Olympic Championships at the end of the 2008 season.
Bibler received his bachelor's degree in history and philosophy in 2006 from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. He and his wife, Sara, have been married for four years.
