ABILENE -- The seventh-ranked ACU Wildcats rolled to another shutout win Saturday morning as they ripped St. Edward's, 9-0, at the Eager Tennis Center.
The win pushes the Wildcats to 20-7 on the season, while the Hilltoppers fall to 7-12 on the year. ACU -- which has won 15 matches via shutout on the season -- will return to action Wednesday when it travels to Lawton, Okla., to take on Cameron in a Lone Star Conference match.
The Wildcats entered Saturday's match ranked No. 1 in the region, while St. Edward's entered ranked No. 6 in the region. The match was never close as ACU won all three doubles matches in easy fashion and then won all six singles matches in straight sets.
