Four Wildcats Earn LSC Honors

RICHARDSON – Four ACU men earned Lone Star Conference honors Thursday at the annual tennis awards announced by league officials. Eldad Campbell, Luke Hawk, Bryan Joiner and John Strahl were all honored for their season as they enter next week's LSC Championships.
It is Joiner's second consecutive honor as he picked up all-LSC singles and doubles honors. Campbell and Hawk were both honorable mention last year as Hawk also was named to the all-LSC singles and doubles team with Joiner. Campbell earned his honors for his singles play.
All three are a perfect 3-0 in LSC play while Joiner leads the group with a 14-6 record. Campbell has taken most of the draws at No. 1 singles going 11-10 and also picking up two wins at No. 2 singles. Hawk has played mostly at No. 3 singles where he is 5-4.
Strahl who earned LSC Honorable Mention honors has also gone 3-0 in LSC and is 13-9 splitting time at No. 2 and No. 3 singles.
The Wildcats being the LSC Championships on Friday as they have earned the top seed and look for their second straight championship. ACU is currently No. 3 in the South Central Region and are the highest ranked LSC team.
