OKLAHOMA CITY -- ACU and Cameron will renew their rivalry once again Saturday, and for the third straight season it will be for a Lone Star Conference men's tennis championship.
Both teams won their only match of the day Friday on the first day of the LSC Championship Tournament at the Oklahoma City, ACU beating East Central, 5-1, and Cameron knocking off Midwestern State, 5-3. The championship match is set for a 9:30 a.m. start Saturday.
Cameron knocked off ACU two years ago in Abilene before the Wildcats returned the favor with a 5-3 win in last year's title match in Wichita Falls.
ACU barely beat East Central earlier this month, taking a 5-4 win in Abilene. The Wildcats (15-11) had no such trouble Friday with the Tigers, winning all three doubles match with ease and then winning at No. 5 and 6 singles.
