NOBLESVILLE, Ind. -- ACU Cyril Bouniol has been named to the PING all-South Central Region golf team.
Bouniol is joined on the all-region team by teammate Alex Carpenter, a freshman from Little Rock, Ark.
Bouniol and Carpenter tied for the individual championship earlier this month at the Lone Star Conference championship tournament, leading the Wildcats to their first title since 1995. Bouniol then went on to finish second at the NCAA Division II South / South Central Super Regional to earn a spot at the national tournament.
Bouniol's win at the national tournament makes him ACU's first individual national champion in golf since current PGA Tour veteran Jeev Singh won the title in 1993 while leading the ACU men to the team championship.
