COLUMBUS, Ga. – Tenth-ranked ACU showed off its depth Saturday afternoon as the Wildcats rallied for a 6-3 win over 13th-ranked Columbus State at the Mary V. Blackmon Tennis Center.
The win pushes the Wildcats to 13-8 on the season, while the Cougarss fall to 10-3 on the season. ACU will return to action next Saturday and Sunday with matches at East Central and Southeastern Oklahoma State, respectively.
The Wildcats led 2-1 at the end of doubles play and then won four of six singles matches. However, three of their wins over Columbus State came from the bottom of the lineup as
Jake Hendrie at No. 4,
John Strahl at No. 5 and
Bryan Joiner at No. 6.
Hans Hach capped the win for the Wildcats with a split-sets victory at No. 1 singles over 52nd-ranked Cristophe Noblet.
