COLUMBUS, Ga. – The sixth-ranked ACU Wildcats capped their four-match road trip through the South on Saturday with a 6-3 win over eighth-ranked Columbus State at the Mary V. Blackmon Tennis Center.
The win pushes the Wildcats to 17-7 on the season, while the Lady Cougars fall to 10-4. The Wildcats finished their road trip at 2-2 and will return to the court on April 12 against Tyler Junior College and April 13 against Cameron, both of which will be played at the Eager Tennis Center on the ACU campus.
The Wildcats jumped out to a 2-1 lead after doubles and then won four of six singles matches, including at Nos. 1 and 2 singles where the nation's fourth-ranked player,
Julia Mongin, won at No. 1 and No. 12
Jaclyn Walker won at No. 2 singles.
