Three golfers honored by PING

NORMAN, Okla. – Three ACU Wildcats were honored as NCAA Division II all-America golfers on Monday as the PING all-America teams were announced by the Golf Coaches' Association of America.

Alex Carpenter – the winner of the Jack Nicklaus Award as the NCAA Division II Player of the Year – was named a first team all-America, as was senior Cyril Bouniol, this year's winner of the Byron Nelson Award.

Joining Carpenter and Bouniol on the all-America team is senior Tyler Shappard, who was named a third team all-America selection.

Carpenter, Bouniol and Sheppard were also named to the Ping all-South Central Region team, which was also announced Monday by the GCAA.
