ABILENE – Former ACU standout
Jaclyn Walker capped her Wildcat tennis career Monday by earning a third straight NCAA Division II all-America citation from the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.
Walker is joined on the ITA all-America team by ACU teammates
Julia Mongin on the women's side and Jake Hendrie and Hans Hach on the men's side.
Walker – who earned first team all-America recognition as a sophomore in 2009 and as a junior in 2010 – earned first team all-America honors in both doubles and singles, as did Mongin, a sophomore from France.
Mongin finished No. 8 in the nation in singles after compiling an 18-6 record for the Wildcats, who advanced to the NCAA Division II national tournament for the 15th straight season. Walker finished the season ranked No. 10 in the country in singles with a 19-6 mark.
Mongin and Walker teamed to form ACU's No. 1 doubles tandem, and they posted a record of 20-4 on their way to a No. 5 national ranking. Overall, Mongin was 23-7 in doubles play, while Walker was 24-6.
On the men's side, Hach earned all-America honors in both singles and doubles play, while Hendrie earned all-America honors as a doubles player.
Hach was 19-5 in singles and finished the season ranked No. 15 in the nation in singles play. He and Hendrie were a combined 14-2 in doubles play to finish No. 6 in the country. Overall, Hach was 23-4 in doubles play, while Hendrie was 24-5.
