FORT WORTH – ACU is in sixth place after Sunday's first round of the UST Mamiya Texas Intercollegiate men's collegiate olf tournament.
Southern Nazarene is in first after firing a 279 over the par-72, 6,847-yard layout at Hawk's Creek Golf Course. Oklahoma Christian, Texas Wesleyan and Oklahoma City are tied for second at 286, followed by the Texas Wesleyan JV at 288 and ACU in sixth at 289.
ACU junior
Alex Carpenter is tied for second in the individual standings after firing an opening-round 68. Sophomore
Trey Sullivan is tied for eighth at 2-under-par 70, but no other Wildcat is in the top 25 of the individual standings.
The second and final round will get started at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday.
