Susset's mark also served as a NCAA provisional qualifying time, and eclipsed her winning time from last spring's Lone Star Conference championships.
ACU newcomers Banjo Jaiyesimi and Ayesha Rumble also were victorious in the 800-meter run as both clocked outdoor provisional times. Jaiyesimi posted a personal record of 1:50.46, while Rumble completed her race in 2:13.63.
Additional provisional marks this weekend were recorded by Lexus Williams in the 100m hurdles (2nd - 14.11), Jordan Geary in the 400m (3rd - 47.63), and Paris Robertson in the 200m (3rd - 21.27). Robertson and Geary also represented one half of the men's sprint relay that improved on their provisional qualifying time with a runner-up showing of 40.80. Dennis Bain and Levance Williams ran the relay's leadoff and anchor legs.
Silver-medal showings also were posted by the women's and men's 4x400m relays. ACU's women's time was its fastest since 2009.
