Hello, everyone.
This summer has already been really busy with basketball workouts, my internship, and being in the fantastic city of Fort Worth. I'm all over the place!
I wanted to let everyone know what is going on with me.
I'm currently working a business internship at Texas Hospice. I work in the office and help with several different projects. Currently I'm working on developing a bereavement program (helping patients and their loved ones grieve), and it has been eye-opening. I think the best part has been working for something that actually matters. Hospice care is extremely restorative to both the patient and the family. This internship has provided me with a unique service opportunity, and I'm grateful.
Just in case y'all didn't know (note the use of y'all for added effect), Fort Worth is the best city in Texas! I love the atmosphere, the boots, the people, Sundance Square, the zoo, and my church: Christ Fellowship! It has been refreshing getting plugged into a life group back home. And was also able to be a counselor at my church's youth group. It was so great
Finally, I went to the Coldplay concert in Dallas. It was unreal. Epic. Crazy. Amazing. And absolutely worth the ticket price :)
More than 20,000 people screaming every single word of every song. It was sensory overload. It seemed like a million different colors, confetti, lasers, balloons, and my personal favorite: the bracelets. Everyone in the crowd was given a bracelet of a different color. At the beginning of the concert, all the bracelets lit up and during different songs, the bracelets would light up in patterns. Looking out into the audience was breathtaking.
Needless to say, the next time Coldplay is on tour, I WILL be going.
I hope that everyone reading is getting their world rocked by Jesus this summer. Remember, all of this is Nothing without Him right in the middle. We don't want to be people who are sprinkling Jesus on top of our lives as an afterthought. We want to be breathing Him in and then loving those around us with His life, love, light, and Spirit.
May you SHINE with Jesus this summer!
Go Wildcats!
