Hey y'all my name is Mackenzie Lankford and I'm a junior accounting major at Abilene Christian University.
I've had a very busy summer working camps, traveling between Weatherford (where I'm from) and Abilene, and vacationing with my family. As much as I love being home, I can't seem to stay away from Abilene! I recently moved into my first house, which has been a fun experience. Our move-in day was the day before I was supposed to go to Florida for a week with my mom and sisters. My mom and I pulled off a miracle and moved me in all in one day! Getting moves in before the trip took a lot of stress off me and we had a great, relaxing time!
I'm currently writing this at a train station in Philadelphia, as I've been traveling with my dad and sisters for the past week. We started in Washington DC, then went to Philadelphia, New York, and lastly Boston. We went to the Luke Bryan/Jason Aldean concert last night and if you are a country music fan you know exactly who I'm talking about! It was definitely the best concert I've ever been to. We'll be seeing several Broadway shows including the Lion King and Spiderman in New York. And we'll be finishing our trip seeing the Rangers play the Red Sox at Fenway Park!
All of the vacationing has been so much fun but the best part of my summer was getting my new puppy, Velvet. She's a Yorkie and might weigh two pounds now. Out of all her toys (and trust me, she has a lot) her favorite thing to chew on is my hair. Spoiled much? She's been a lot of fun and I love her to death!
That about wraps up my summer! I hope everyone has been enjoying their summers and I can't wait to get going this season! See y'all soon!
