Sadie Dickinson's Wildcat Basketblog (July 3)

Hey guys … I've been out of the state for too long!

My name is Sadie Dickinson and I'll be a sophomore guard for the Wildcats in 2012-13. I have no idea what I want to be when I grow up; therefore I have not yet declared a major. However, I'm getting a pretty good idea of where my heart is this summer.

I'm interning with Uncharted Waters sports ministry and am getting to spread the love of Jesus through running sports camps and loving on kids. Awesome, awesome, awesome! I'm getting to do all the things I love the most all at one time, while learning so much about myself and God's plan for me.

I've already traveled to Oklahoma City and Washington, but now I'm in northern California, and this weekend I'm leaving for Costa Rica! I'll then come back to the states for three more weeks. It's so easy to get into a routine whenever you are following the same schedule every single day for nine weeks, but man God is moving! And that's enough motivation in itself. I've already seen some awesome things and there's still so much more to come!

Our theme this summer is "Beyond the Gold" and our memory verse is 1 Corinthians 9:24-25. What a lesson to be learned! Nothing on this earth is of any value. So, I encourage you today to go out and do all of the things you love. Do it for the love of the Lord. Do it to glorify Him. Do it for something "beyond the gold.”

I am definitely being transformed this summer, and I cannot wait to be back with my team not only competing for that gold medal, but also for something so far beyond it!

Go Wildcats, and go God!
