Wildcats Capped By Kingsville In Three Sets

KINGSVILLE, Texas - The Abilene Christian volleyball suffered a 3-0 loss vs. Texas A&M-Kingsville Saturday afternoon at the Hampton Inn Center. The Javelinas' win was their first in Lone Star Conference play and evened their season record at 7-7, while the Wildcats fell to 4-11 and 1-6.
Kingsville won the match by scores of 25-17, 25-19, 25-22, and was led by Dedra Brown who had 15 kills, four blocks and a .273 attacking percentage.
Kalynne Allen, Jennie Loerch, and Sara Oxford each had five kills for the Wildcats, while setter Haley Rhoads was credited with 10 assists.
The Wildcats return home to Moody Coliseum next weekend for the four-team, two-day ACU / Whitten Inn Classic, which will feature five matches between ACU, Midwestern State, Cameron and Texas-Permian Basin.
