Bonneau Family Indoor Hitting Facility
In November 2006, the ACU baseball team – which has been one of the nation’s best in the last 14 years – began working out in the new Bonneau Family Indoor Batting Facility, a new building on the grounds of the baseball complex that was more than one year in the making.
The 5,625-square foot facility has room for three indoor hitting tunnels, as well as two pitching tunnels, allowing multiple players to work out in case of inclement outdoor weather. Construction on the $235,000 facility began around Feb. 1, 2006, and was completed Nov. 1.
The family of ACU head coach Britt Bonneau was the major financial benefactor of the facility, and it was named for his family. The facility was dedicated on Saturday, Feb. 3, before the Wildcats’ game against Henderson State (Ark.).
