ACU Loses Tight Game at Utah Tech

ST. GEORGE, Utah - Cbo Newton scored a career-high 27 points and Bradyn Hubbard added 23, but the ACU men's basketball team lost at Utah Tech 85-81 on Thursday night.
Newton has now scored in double-figures in four straight games and seven of his last nine. The 27 points matches the season-high by an ACU player, and broke his previous career best of 23 set at No. 10 BYU in December.
The Wildcats tied the game at 74-all with just over 4:00 remaining when the Trailblazers went on an 8-0 run.
ACU turned the ball over just seven times, a new season-low.
The result puts ACU in a tie for fifth place in the WAC standings with three games left in the regular season.

The Wildcats travel to first-place Utah Valley for a Saturday tip-off at 3 p.m. CT. The game will be streamed on both ESPN+ and the ACU Sports Network.
