ACU Players Work Out at 2026 Pro Day Event

Nine Abilene Christian football players took part in Pro Day in front of scouts on Monday morning at the Powell Fitness Center and Anthony Field at Wildcat Stadium.
The following represented ACU at the event: quarterback Stone Earle, running back Jordon Vaughn, receiver Javon Gipson, tight end Jed Castles, defensive linemen Kaghen Roach and Chris Wright, linebacker Will Shaffer, and defensive backs Dorian Plumley and Elijah Moffett, who starred for the Wildcats from 2020-24.
Five scouts were in attendance from the NFL's Dallas Cowboys, Kansas City Chiefs, New England Patriots and Indianapolis Colts, and the Canadian Football League's Calgary Stampeders.
Three players from Hardin-Simmons and two from UT Permian Basin also took part on Monday.
Athletes participated in the bench press, vertical and broad jumps, the 40-yard dash and went through position-specific drills on the field.
ACU has put together two identical United Athletic Conference championship seasons, reaching round 2 of the FCS Playoffs.
The Wildcats open spring practice on Tuesday, and will continue for the next four weeks. An official spring game will not be held.
